Martin Tyler Interview Questions

18 September 2009

I will have the pleasure of interviewing Martin Tyler for the next episode of The Third Half podcast. After discussion of his coaching role at Kingstonian FC and the early qualifying rounds of the FA Cup, we'll have a little time to talk about the start of the Premier League/Champions League.

If you have any questions, either leave a response here, reply on my twitter account, or email me at thethirdhalf@thethirdhalf.org. Questions need to be sent by 5 am Eastern (10 am in the UK).

Martin,

In 2005, Liverpool played AC Milan in the Champions League final - the first European final featuring a British team since Man Utd's win in 1999.

However, you did not commentate on this game for Sky Sports, even though you have commentated on all CL finals for them since then. Why did you miss the 2005 final?

Hi Martin,

I used to like it when the commentators were shown in-vision to the camera before kick-off but this happens rarely nowadays. Why is this? Would it be possible to reintroduce it?

Why did you stop covering every Sunday 4pm game back at the beginning of 2005?
